Round Reed and Split Reed


Coiled round reeds are ideal for all basketry, for repairing of wicker and for reed furniture. Round reeds are the core of rattan. They are machine propelled through dies to obtain desired diameter. Round reeds are very pliable and are packed in coils of approximately one pound each.

See chart below for natural round reed. Smoked round reed is now available in sizes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8.
